A leadership position for one participant (age 16-17) at a Village program, lasts 28 days

CISV Villages are international camps that inspire 11-year-old children who come together from many different countries to take part in a variety of educational, cultural and fun activities.

Each Village welcomes delegations from 10-12 countries. The camp is coordinated by adult staff, and supported by Junior Counselors (JC) (age 16-17). The JC’s play an important role in helping their group of participants become a team, and make sure that each day is exciting, educational and safe.

JC’s get valuable training prior to the program, and ongoing support and training throughout the camp. Being a JC is a great first-time “employment” opportunity, where you are taking responsibilty and developing your leadership, team-working, and other personal skills. Most importantly, JCs serve as role models for the young participants.
